He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Hale and Ruth Thomas Hale; his sisters, Donna Jacks and Joy Wright-Farley; and his sons-in-law, Darrell Abney and Lee Osborn.
He is survived by: his significant other Lois Arlene Hale; his children, Janice Abney of Lexington, Kendra Garey (Jason) of Lexington, Thomas Hale (Antonette) of Amarillo and Daryl Hale (Julia) of Berlin; his grandchildren, Jessica Henry (David), Nevin Abney, Chase Riggs (Olivia), Tyler Osborn, Bennett and Elanor Hale; and his great grandchildren, Heather Taylor (Jason), Aaron, Hunter, Avery Henry, Jakub Abney, Dorothy and Elouise Riggs. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Veterans Affairs Hospice Community Living Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
