She was predeceased by: her spouse Rutherford Asa Brown; her parents, Clinton Smith and Gladys Carter Smith; and her siblings, Butch Smith and Janice Mankin.

She is survived by: her daughter Vickie Lynn Martin; her grandchildren, Erik Scott Smith (Nicole), Casey Tyler Smith and Shannon Rae Smith; her great grandchildren, Bailey Smith, Alivia Smith, Cooper Owens, Zoe Valle, Leland Valle and Asa Valle; and her sisters, Patricia Shephard (Richard) and Brenda Smith.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Anchor Baptist Church.
