He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Cook (Harry) and Ruth Kidwell Cook; and his siblings, Helen Frances Daugherty and Charles Bill Cook (Charlie). He is survived by: his wife Mattie Woods Cook of Year's Day; his children, Dana Kaye Cook, Richard Lynn Cook (Laura) and Lisa Jane Cook; his grandchildren, Shawn Wylie, Jeremy Cook (Kea), Jason Wylie, Amy Cook, Adam Johnson and Shelby Paske (Mark); his great grandchild Joseph Lee Wylie; his nephews, Robert Cook Daugherty and Jeffrey Michael Fike (Carin); his niece Jennifer Sanders (Scott); his great-niece Kaitlyn Sanders; his nephews, Robert Woods and Billy Woods, Jr.; his siblings-in-law, Billy Woods and Loretta Reynolds (Roy); and his nieces, Brenda Mau and Temple Reynolds. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Tucker Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home (320 W Main St, Georgetown, KY 40324). A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home (320 W Main St, Georgetown, KY 40324).
