She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil V. Hunt and Grace Slone Hunt; her husband Dr. J. Gordon Butterfield; her son Ken C. Smith; and her daughter-in-law Frankie C. Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Leslie Smith McGuire (Michael) of Mandeville, Louisiana; her grandsons, Ty McGuire (Rebecca) of Covington, LA and Drew McGuire (Joel) of New Orleans, Louisiana; her great grandchildren, Lily and Amelia; Barbara Walker, Vicki Clift, Barbara Atkins, Leah Watts and Diane Hollister.
