He is survived by: his grandmother Jean Nelson; and his brother George Nelson of Fayetteville.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Hickman - Strunk Funeral Home (156 Main St, Whitley City, KY 42653). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
