He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Jane Collins Reece and Parvin E. Reece; his wife Doris Jean Triplet Reece; and his sisters, Helen Faye Duvall (Herman) of Louisville, KY and Anna Lou Bucholtz (Bill) of Columbia, KY..

He is survived by: his children, Patricia Ann Prather (Dwight) of Lexington, KY and Michael Wayne Reece (Diane) of Winchester, KY; his grandsons, Michael Todd Reece (Lisa) of Winchester, KY and Brandon Turner Reece of Winchester, KY; his great grandchildren, Emma Elizabeth, Brock Thomas of Winchester, KY, Cade Davis of Winchester, KY, Tate Allen of Winchester, KY and Jackson Montgomery of Winchester, KY; and his sister Martha Jane Skaggs (Bill) of Lexington, KY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Kerr Brothers Funeral Home - Harrodsburg Rd (3421 Harrodsburg Rd, Lexington, KY 40513). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
