He was predeceased by: his parents, William Richard Stewart and Ruth Beryl Wilhoite; his siblings, Gary and Sue Stewart; and his brother-in-law Perry Willis.

He is survived by: his husband Ed Alsip; his brothers, Randy Stewart and John Stewart (Tammy); and his nieces and nephews, Gerad Stewart, Garry Stewart, Gina DeHart, Genise Loeffler, William Stewart, Emily Compton, Laura Dalton and Victoria Stewart.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Milward-Southland (391 Southland Dr, Lexington, KY 40503). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
