He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Gudgell Wells and Grace Hatton Wells; his siblings, Betty Wells Slinker and William "Bill" Wells; his daughter Suan Wells Westover; and his granddaughter Ryane Michelle Westover.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Lucille Rakes Wells; his children, Dennis Wayne Wells (Terri), Karlene Wells Browning (Jim) and Elaine Wells Standiford (Larry); his foster son Joseph "Skip" Jump (Kim); his niece Patti Rakes; his grandchildren, McKenna, Christopher, Melanie, Megan, Tara, Taylor, Michael of Thomas, L. J., Kim, Will and Andrew; and his great grandchildren, Carter, Lorenzo, Gabriella, Kaiden, Aspen, Brielle, Rayder, Kai, Rosie, Alex, Jacob, Oliver, Austin, Dylan and Kadi. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
