She was predeceased by: her husband Eddie; and her brother Joseph Dawahare (Sandy). She is survived by: her son Edward Owens III; and her siblings, Nellie Wilkinson (Harvey), Harding Dawahare (Gail), William Dawahare (Ann) and Frank Dawahare (Theresa). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kerr Brothers Funeral Home (463 E Main St, Lexington, KY 40507). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cathedral of Christ the King (299 Colony Blvd, Lexington, KY 40502). She supported many local charities, and during the COVID shut downs fed many restaurant workers and others in need.
Selma supported many organizations, and contributions can be made to the Markey Cancer Center or the charity of your choice.
