She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace E. Hoover and Dorothy Whatley Hoover; her significant other Matthew J. DeBoor, Jr.; her brother Kenneth E. Hoover; her stepson Matthew J. DeBoor, III; and her pet Buddy.

She is survived by: her sister Linda Whitley of Winnsboro, Texas; her children, Ron Edwards, Cindy Morgan (Louis) and Denise Mayes (Scott); her stepdaughter Irene Lampton (Dinwiddie); her grandchildren, Hollis Edwards, Kali Edwards, Gretchen Richards, Haley Edwards, Lauren Morgan, Cole Morgan and Luke Morgan; and her stepgrandchildren, Lauren DeBoor, Julia DeBoor and Katherine DeBoor. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
