We are sad to announce that on April 22, 2024, at the age of 61, Sonya Spencer of Lexington, Kentucky, born in Campton, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid adieu to Sonya's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Sonya has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding us through the labyrinth of life's journey.

She was predeceased by : her brothers, Darrell and Joe. She is survived by : her parents, Ralph Gross of Lexington, Kentucky and Laura Watkins Keith of Beattyville, Kentucky; her husband Billy Spencer; her children, Ashley Nicole Smith (Derrick) of Beattyville and Billy Nick Spencer, Jr.; and her grandchildren, Parker Bryce of Beattyville, Paisley Grace Smith of Beattyville and Sawyer Cruz Spencer of Corbin. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Newnam Funeral Home Chapel (108 Center St, Beattyville, KY 41311). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
