He was predeceased by: his parents, Flora Bell (Wilson) and James Madison Marion; and his siblings, James Marion, Betty Whitaker and Ann Mullins.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Marion (Palmore); his children, David Marion (Cheryl), Lisa Fryman (Les) and Matt Marion (Andrea); and his brother Douglas Marion (Shirley). He is also survived by three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Luke Church (2351 Alumni Dr, Lexington, KY 40517). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Luke Methodist Church (2351 Alumni Dr, Lexington, KY 40517).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Luke Methodist Church, Lexington KY and Bluegrass Care Navigators of Lexington 1733 Harrodsburg Rd. Lexington, KY 40504.
