He was predeceased by: his parents, Kelly Rudd and Elizabeth Rudd; and his brothers, Richard and Charles Rudd. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Daugherty Rudd; his sons, Thomas Rudd (Rachel) and David Rudd (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Alexandra Bradford (Steven) and Brian Troy (Jessica); and his great grandchildren, Georgia Bradford and Jackson Troy.
