He was predeceased by : his parents, Marion Thomas and Lillie Hampton Thomas; and his siblings, Ralph, Neal, Dale, Gerald Thomas and Charlotte Thomas.

He is survived by : his sons, Paul Thomas (Jennifer) of Liberty, Ronnie Thomas (Traci) of Liberty, Michael Thomas (Amy) of Liberty and Steven Thomas (Christy) of Danville; his grandchildren, Tamera, Megan, Corey, Hailey, Hilary, Madysen, Rylee, Casieus and Katelyn; his great grandchildren, Branson, Myah, Lilly, Wesson, Halenna, Gavin, Harper, Eloise, Ronan and Nova Louise; and his sister Shirley Elmore of Liberty.
