He was predeceased by: his parents, William Coy and Ollie Mae Gibson; his brother Lonnie Gibson; and his half-siblings, Jimmy Ray Sandusky, William Stafford, Rachel Estep, Norma Turner, Betty Buck, Barbara Derringer and Sylvia Prewitt.
He is survived by: his daughter Loni Knapp (Josh); his grandson Hayden Knapp of Ohio; and his brothers, Onie Corbit Gibson (Judy) of Ohio, Danny Gibson (Linda) of Ohio and David Gibson (Sue) of Ohio.
