He was predeceased by: his parents, William Alton "Bill Mark" Wethington and Gracie Christine Wethington; and his siblings, William "Billy" Ray Wethington, Ronald Wethington, Larry Michael Wethington, Sandra Wolford, Brenda Wethington, Julita Patten and Barbara Whitt.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Patten Wethington; his daughters, Tiara McCarol (Tracy) of Liberty and Kimberly Wethington of Moreland; his grandchildren, Sara Knifley (Chansey Whited) and Kenan Knifley; his great grandchild Adelynn Carol Whited; his siblings, Joseph "Joey" Wethington (Belinda) of Liberty, Robert "Robin" Wethington (Syrilla) of Liberty, Kevin Wethington (Anna Jean) of Liberty and Arlene Cohen (Stan) of Seattle, WA; and his brother-in-law Jimmy Whitt of Ohio. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
