He is survived by: his mother Lillian Akemon of Linefork; his wife Lesia Roark Gilbert; his children, John Christopher Gilbert (Kendra) of Linefork and Melissa Rose Ison (Mickey Dale) of Linefork; his siblings, Sam Gilbert (Kaye) of Kingscreek, Henrietta Howard (Andy) of Greasy Creek and Tootie Roark (Roy David) of Hallie; and his grandchildren, Brandon Jo Gilbert and Maliyah Rose Ison.
