He was predeceased by: his parents, Nim Rod Bowens and Ruth Setser Sunday; and his grandsons, Zachary Nathenial Spradlin and Bradley Isiah Spradlin. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Kay O'Brian Bowens; his daughter Tonya Lee Palmer (Shawn) of Hurricane; his granddaughter Chelsey Raye Spradlin; his siblings, David Bowens (Linda) of Grove City, Rodney Bowens of Lawrence County, Kentucky, Patricia Banks of Louisa, Linda Pate (Mike) of Riceville and Lorraine Vance of Johnson County, Kentucky; and his caregivers, Dona Poe and Todd Flowers.
