It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean P. Koon of Livingston, Kentucky, who passed away on September 30, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thurman Potter and Lillian Potter; and her siblings, Marion Long (Tidy), James Potter and David Leon Koon.
She is survived by: her children, Leah Lummus (Tyson) and Mike Koon (Reita); her grandchildren, Stephanie Henson (Brad), David Koon (Stephanie), Wesley Lummus (Sherina) and Josh Lummus; her great grandchildren, Bradon Henson (Addison), Jackson Henson and Tanleigh Lummus; her stepgrandchildren, Tristin Walker (Cody), Emilee Arflack and Dathan Terrell; and her great great grandchildren, Harvey Bray Henson, Elijah Walker and Caden Walker. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Chapel (319 E Adair St, Smithland, KY 42081). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the same location.
