He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard "Dagwood" Pierce and Verna King Pierce. He is survived by: his stepson Hobart Pack; his siblings, Billy Pack, Juanita Anderson, Margaret Steinhauer, Thomas Pack, Harry Pack and Hobart Pack; his close friend Marion Gail Holbert Pack; his son Paul Scott Pierce (Traci) of Crossett, AR; his grandsons, Paul Hobson (Kaylin), John Hobson (Charity) and Joshua Hobson (Opal); his stepchildren, Martha Lowe, Verna Harper, Diane Pack, Dan Hammond, Jolene Smith, Joey Smith and Mia Smith; and his close friend Jim Miller. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
