We are sad to announce that on June 2, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Dorothy E. (Hearne) Bruce in Lockport, Kentucky, born in Owenton, Kentucky. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Clark Hearne and Maranda Hearne (Smith); her husband Eugene D. Bruce; her siblings, Judy Osborne and Waylon Hearne; and her son-in-law Jack Bennett.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Snider (Stewart) of Lockport, Debbie Bennett of Frankfort and Larry G. Bruce (Sue) of Lockport, Kentucky.. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sholar-Riley Funeral Home (5710 Castle Hwy, Pleasureville, KY 40057). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at the Pleasureville Cemetery (1548 Ditto Cemetery Rd, Pleasureville, KY 40057).
Memorial gifts may be made to Lockport Methodist Church.
