He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Smith and Vergie Lawson Smith Hubbard; and his siblings, Ella Mae Smith Spanogle, Ethel Smith, Luther, J. B. and J. C. Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Judy, Johnny Swafford of Barbourville, Pamela, Gordon Wright of Ohio and Harvey Smith of Barbourville; his brother Luster Smith (Kathleen) of Barbourville; his sister-in-law Louise Smith of London; his grandchildren, Jessica, Travis Bruner, Andrew Hampton, Amber, Gabe Marciano, Brittany, Sean Griese, Joshua, Jayla Smith, Victoria and Joe Bruner; and his great grandchildren, Alexis, Zachary, Logan, Caelin, Aiden, Robin, Sam, Ravin, Zoe, Liliana, Taylor, Brooklyn, Carmen, Marissa, Bobbie Jo, ZayBriella and Zeelynn.
