He was predeceased by: his wife Freda Meadows Taylor; his parents, Roscoe C. Taylor and Cimmie Minton Taylor; his children, Robert Taylor (Bob), Dennis Darrel Taylor and Pamela Gail Taylor; his siblings, Elgia Marie Taylor, Fern Cain, Claude Taylor, Estill Taylor, Roscoe Taylor Jr., Cleo Russell, Nell Baxter, Baby Taylor and Julia Ward; his grandson Nathan Kelly Taylor; his stepgranddaughter Robin McWhorter; and his children-in-law, Gary Garland and Scottie Gerri Taylor.

He is survived by: his children, Debbie Taylor Garland of London, KY and Jack Taylor of Arlington, VA; his sister Lillie Brate of Westchester, OH; his grandchildren, Michael Garland (Ashley), Jason Taylor, Shonna Larkey and Joshua Garland (Beverly); and his niece Carla Ward. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren.
