He was predeceased by : his parents, James "Jim" Watkins and Opal Stillings Watkins; and his sister Patricia Watkins. He is survived by : his wife Nelda Gilbert Watkins; his children, Elizabeth Peterson (Adam) of Delmar, DE and James Watkins (Swayze) of London, KY; his granddaughter Paisley Watkins; his family, Rodney Chesnut, Ben Edwards, Linda Mounce, Wanda Dozier, Claude Gilbert (Sandy) and Glenda Whitaker; and his in-laws, Brenda Chesnut, Edna Edwards, James Mounce, Calvin Dozier and Eddie Whitaker. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
