He was predeceased by : his parents, Dea Howard and Miranda Eversole Howard; his son Jeffery Keith Howard; and his siblings, Maynard Hacker, Gilbert Norton Howard, Maggie Parker, Goldie Young, Ernie Howard, Frank Howard, James Howard, Vernie Robinson, Ollie Taylor and Mary Sebastian.

He is survived by : his wife Betty Lou Cornelius Howard; his children, Philip Ray Howard (Cathy) of Corbin, Phyllis Gail Madden (Eugene) of London, Kentucky and Darrell Craig Howard (Rhonda) of London, Kentucky; his sisters, Rosie Hughes of Hamilton and Pearl Young of Corbin; his grandchildren, Phillip Lance Howard, Lisa Gail Walker, Robert Eugene Madden, Tara Hope Madden and Angelica Shea Howard; and his great grandchildren, Joseph Michael Howard, Wyatt Graham Howard, Jacob Raleigh Walker, Casey Gail Walker, Sarah Rose Walker and Avalyn Karenlee Madden.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bowling Funeral Home (1704 N Main St, London, KY 40741). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
