He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Pennington and Lora Belle Hammons Pennington; his son Larry Pennington; and his brothers, Howard Pennington and Don Pennington.
He is survived by: his wife Lorene Nelson Pennington; his son Gary Pennington (Carla) of London; his sister Wilma Proffitt of London; his granddaughter Angela; and his great grandchildren, Tyler, Zach and Elizabeth. He is also survived by his family, especially his father and mother.
