It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Franklin Delano Proffitt of London, Kentucky, who passed away on April 17, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Zee Proffitt and Lizzie Crook Proffitt; his son Scotty Proffitt; his daughter-in-law Melissa Proffitt; and his siblings, Albert E. Proffitt, Elwood Proffitt, Zee Proffitt, Jr., Mescal Cowin and Dallas Allen.
He is survived by: his wife Zella Bowling Proffitt; his daughter Trudy Snowden (Dean) of London; and his stepchildren, Matthew Bargo of Woodbine, Jerrica Bargo of Woodbine and Colton Bargo of New York. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
