With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James C. Painter (London, Kentucky), born in Andrews, North Carolina, who passed away on May 14, 2024 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, James shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid James farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Manuel Painter and Mattie Jane Dailey Painter; his son James Painter, Jr.; and his sisters, Grace Whitener, Polly Pack and Betty Sue Foxx.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Howard Painter; his daughter Kimberly Parsley of Marble; his brothers, Tom Painter, Jr. (Louise) of Marietta and Tony Painter (Dianne) of Andrews; and his granddaughter Amanda Vance.
