He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry James Lorman and Edith Cordel Lorman; and his brother James Lorman. He is survived by: his children, B. J. Roberts (Chris) of London and Kimberly Lynn Sirvatka (Jason) of Chicago, Illinois; his sister Anna Mae Hacker of East Bernstadt, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Bobby Christopher Roberts, Jonah David Sirvatka, Molly Grace Sirvatka and Claire Elizabeth Sirvatka; and his great grandchild Isabella Louise Roberts.
