He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Smith and Sudie Smith; his son Darrell Smith; and his siblings, Frank Robert Smith, Cleo Smith, Larkin Smith, Virginia Smith, Tressie Smith and Dexter Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Abner Smith; his daughters, Linda Swafford of Manchester, KY and Lisa Parman (Everett) of London, KY; his sister Mandy Smith of Barbourville, KY; and his grandchildren, Roger Swafford, Jeniffer Collins, Darren Parman (Ashley), Allen Parman, Diane Parman, Samantha Smith and Darrell Smith. He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephew, and other family and friends.
