William Aaron Putman Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Aaron Putman (London, Kentucky), born in Johnstown, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 4, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As William Aaron departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though William Aaron may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy William Aaron leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Aaron Putman and Florence Horner Putman; his wife Lynne Walrath Putman; and his brother John D. Putman. He is survived by: his children, Catherine Carlton (Bruce) of Franklin, Tennessee, Debra Carzoli of Jacksonville, Florida and Robert Putman of Raleigh; and his brother Robert David Putman of Atlanta. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations be made to the 1st Presbyterian Church in Memory of William Aaron Putman.
