With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Betty Rushing of Lone, Kentucky, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Betty left this world on September 26, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Louis "Jim" Rushing and Cora Lee Legate Rushing; and her siblings, Ann Boatwright, Rebecca Metcalf, Allie "Dink" Jones, Joyce Guhy, Margie Schnittger, Jimmy Rushing, Bill Rushing, Don Rushing and Bob Rushing.
She is survived by: her siblings, Martha "Babe" Perry of Paducah, Shirley Myers (Willie) of Columbia, Illinois, Kenneth Rushing (Elene) of Paducah, Kentucky, Buddy Rushing (Ann) of Paducah, Kentucky and Roy Rushing (Sharon) of Paducah, Kentucky; and her brother-in-law Ed Schnittger of Columbia, Illinois. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Lone Oak (3745 Old US Hwy 45 S, Paducah, KY 42003). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
