He was predeceased by: his parents, William Scheer Sr. and Mary Odelia Roof Scheer. He is survived by: his children, Beth Krimple (Herman) of Paducah, Monica Spurlock (Ronnie) of Andersonville, Tennessee, Charles Scheer of Paducah, Kentucky, Timothy Scheer (Nina) of Paducah, Kentucky and Robert Scheer of Paducah, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Russell Krimple, Kimberly Stone (Patrick), Rachel Riley (Justin), Emily Evans (Brandon), Ron Spurlock (Kayla), Ryan Krimple and Robie Scheer; his great grandchildren, Kade Krimple, Lane Krimple, Savannah Stone, Abigail Stone, Emma Riley, Bryson Evans, Elijah Evans and Tanner Spurlock; his sister Mary Catherine Sutton of Paducah, Kentucky; his wife Dorothy Scheer; his daughter Mary Scheer; his siblings, Mary Denise Willett, Marie Alsip, William Scheer Jr., Martin Scheer, Henry Scheer and Maurice Scheer; and his caregivers, Danielle Coleman, Teresa Chambers and Elizabeth Estes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A prayer was held on Sunday, September 7th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Lone Oak (3745 Old US Hwy 45 S, Paducah, KY 42003). Visitation was held on Sunday, September 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Catholic Church (6705 Old US Hwy 45 S, Paducah, KY 42003).
