With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dovie Spurlock of Louisa, Kentucky, who passed away on November 3, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Staton Thompson and Celia Thompson; her siblings, Valkie Thompson, Fred Thompson, Gabriel Thompson, Ellen McCoy and Katherine McCoy; and her brother-in-law Kenny Pelfrey.
She is survived by: her husband Fred Roger Spurlock; her children, Randy Spurlock, Scotty Spurlock (Marie) and Teresa Bowen (Greg); her grandchildren, Cody McComas (Christian), Shannon McComas, Elizabeth Bowen, Tony Bowen, Gregory Bowen, John Valalitski and Gabby Arthur (Fred); her great grandchildren, Haven McComas, Mack Arthur, Freddie Arthur, Scotty Arthur, Lila Beth Bowen and Gavin Lewis; and her sisters, Clora George (Robert), Bertha McKinster (John) and Lexie Pelfrey. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel (111 W Main St, Louisa, KY 41230). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Spurlock Cemetery (640 Rock Creek Dr, Louisa, KY 41230).
