With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Florene Hampton of Louisa, Kentucky, born in Van Lear, Kentucky, who passed away on February 27, 2021 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. James Cullie Hager and Edna Sizemore Hager; her husband Carl Clay Hampton; her son Jerry Clay Hampton; and her siblings, Arthur, Charles, James Hager and Shirley Meade.

She is survived by: her daughter Kathy; her son-in-law Gary Uhrig of Chillicothe, Ohio; her son John Hampton of Clearwater, Florida; her grandchildren, Dr. Lisa Uhrig of Chillicothe, Nathan Uhrig of Kissimmee, Ashley and Jared Hampton of Clearwater; her great grandchildren, Ella and Ryker Pelfrey of Chillicothe, Ohio; and her sister-in-law Betty Hager of Louisa.
