He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwyn Lee Clay Jr. and Catherine Ronelda Clay; and his brothers, Robert Elwyn Clay (Bobby) and Steven Andrew Clay. He is survived by: his wife Janet Sperry Clay; his daughter Amy Newsome (Adam); his grandson Aiden Cash Newsome of Louisa; his sister Sherry Preston of Louisa; and his cousin Skip Leichtiter of New Martinsville, WV. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
