He is survived by: his sons, Greg Bentley (Connie) and Dave Bentley; his stepson David Sammons (Vickie); his sister Maxine Crider; his grandchildren, David Sammons II (Holly), Megan Meade (Craig) and Riley Sammons; and his great grandchildren, David Sammons III and Jenna Sammons.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel (111 W Main St, Louisa, KY 41230). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Yatesville Memorial Gardens (KY-32, Louisa, KY 41230).
