He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia McConnell Scott; his parents, Cecil Newton Scott and Helen Scott Poore Larkin; his stepfather James Poore; his siblings, Jalyne Poore Chant, Kenneth Craig and Jimmie Knox; and his siblings-in-law, Roberta Beauchamp, Sharon McConnell and John McConnell.
He is survived by: his children, Lauren Rice (Keith), Daniel Scott and David Scott (Mary); his grandchildren, Molly Rice Prendergast (Peter), Nolan Rice, Kyra Owens-Scott and Chase Owens-Scott; his sisters, Elyse Poore Allen (Ken) and Sherry Poore Lewis; and his sisters-in-law, Kathy Nerney (Billy) and Diane Cormier (Al). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Epiphany Catholic Church (914 Old Harrods Creek Rd, Louisville, KY 40223). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (1600 Newburg Rd, Louisville, KY 40205).
The family has asked that memorial donations for Arlon Scott be made to The Stroke Foundation (https://thestrokefoundation.org), whose mission guides and supports stroke survivors and their caregivers, or to Epiphany Catholic Church.
