He was predeceased by: his parents, Judith Lockard (Hardaway) and James "Buck" Lockard. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Lockard (Stoner); his children, Brittany Owens (Steve) and Bryan Lockard (Madison); his sister Becky Lockard; and his grandchildren, Lucas, Ruby Owens, Maddux and Fallon Lockard.

Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Owen Funeral Homes - Dixie Highway (5317 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40216). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Owen Funeral Home (5317 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40216).
