It is with sadness that the passing of Bob Schaefer (Louisville, Kentucky) is shared. Bob, born on October 30, 1939, passed away on October 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara "Bobbie" Schaefer; his parents, Christian A. Schaefer and Gladys Schaefer; his aunt Hazel Maffet; and his siblings, Jerry Schaefer and Carolyn Hutchison.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Schaefer and Shannon Schaefer; his grandsons, Christian Schaefer (Nicole) and Kelly Schaefer; his great grandchildren, Elliott Schaefer and Collins Schaefer; and his sister Barbara Turner. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, in-laws.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at the Bethany Cemetery (10917 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272).
