In loving memory of Caroline L. Griffin (Louisville, Kentucky), who departed this world on October 11, 2025 at the age of 92. Caroline leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Saunders and Catherine Hildebrand Saunders; and her siblings, Mary Geckler, Chet Saunders, Micky Saunders and Bob Saunders.
She is survived by: her children, Erin Curtis (Al), Cynthia Wright (Wayne), Kimberley Leatherman (Jeff), Kelly Knop (Jeffrey), Scott Griffin (Stacey) and Patrick Griffin (Angela); her sister Vera Johnson (Dale); her brother-in-law Dieter Geckler; and her husband Charles "Chick" Griffin. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
The family requests that contributions in Caroline's memory be made to American Heart Association (P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105).
