He is survived by: his wife Ada Haney Sample; his daughters, Debbie Carey (David), Lisa and Donna; his grandchildren, Davy (Emily), Kayla (Ray), Hanna (Jacob), Tyler, Jake (Olivia), Brent (Kristen) and Connor; his great grandchildren, Jackson (Maddie), Colton (Rachel), Marley, Drake, Brady, Xavier, Chloe and Ada; and his brothers, Ritchie (Rose), Jackie (Inga) and Larry (Judy).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home (7710 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40258). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at the Bethany Memorial Cemetery (10917 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272).
