With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Chauncy Lee Bender Sr. (Louisville, Kentucky), who passed away on October 7, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Chauncy leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He is survived by: his wife Emma Bender; his children, Tony Bender, Kimberly Bender, Melissa Bender, La Crissa Bender-Cosby (Juneo) and Chauncy Bender, Jr.; his grandson Richard Rowland, Jr. (Maria); his brother Victor Bender (Brenda); and his former wife Joyce Bender. He is also survived by children, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM.
