With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Debbie Abney in Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on July 23, 2025 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louise Tipton Abney and Bennie Abney. She is survived by: her siblings, Myrilan Gumer and Kenny Abney (Donna); her siblings' children, Jacob Gumer (Stephanie), Amy Gumer (Jon Wells), Joey Gumer, Paula Stewart (Rick) and Matthew Abney (Andrea); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Maddox, Lincoln, Wesley, Sarah Gumer, Iris, Oliver and Alex Wells; and her close friends, Joy Cosby King, Lisa Grant, Ann Jones, Sharon Chambers Francis, Peggy Cotton and Kathy Cole Wilford.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home (1110 Barnes Mill Rd, Richmond, KY 40475). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St Jude Children's Hospital.
