He is survived by: his wife Pam Sullivan; his children, Jill Fulton, Zach Sullivan and Sean Sullivan; and his grandchild Maddex. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ratterman Embry Bosse Funeral Home (2723 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40217). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. In his tenure at UofL he led the first documented mass immunization event, addressing H1N1 influenza, that provided the blueprint for future mass immunizations like COVID-19.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to the Foster Care Program at St. Joseph Children's Home, 2823 Frankfort Ave. Louisville, KY 40206, an organization that touched Dennis' life.
