He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Phelps and Carolyn Phelps; his grandson Kaleb Phelps; his nephew Bain Schnur; his wife Paula Phelps; his daughter Nikki Phelps; his stepson Chris Patton (Angela); his siblings, Paul Phelps (Lesley) and Angela Corbett (Chris); and his nephew Chaz Phelps.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home (3800 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Foundation or American Cancer Society.
