He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Barton Matherly. He is survived by: his children, Donna Gail Becker, Larry Matherly (Jennifer) and Gerald Matherly; his grandchildren, Larry (Becker, Jr.), Loree Patzig (Brandon), Bart Matherly (Angela) and Kristi Ragsdale (Jason); his great grandchildren, Kaylen Cates (Sidney), Macie Matherly, Anna Matherly, Madison Ragsdale, Mariah Ragsdale and Presley Patzig; and his great great grandchildren, Easton Cates and Ryleigh Cates.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fern Creek Funeral Home (5406 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40291).
