He is survived by: his wife Patricia Berlá (Donaldson) of Fort Myers, FL; his daughter Kathryn Berlá; his grandson Johnathan Hoyle of Louisville; his stepchildren, Courtney Casper, Michael Hart (Tatum), Lily, Wyatt and Emmett Hart; his brother Robert Berlá (MaryAnn) of Cape Cod; his nieces, Kristine Canady (Patrick) and Melissa Downie of Massachusetts; his daughter Susan Berlá of Louisville; and also, Mackenzie, Keegan and Cody Casper.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NPR or any local or national public broadcasting television or radio station.
