It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elizabeth J. Filburn (Louisville, Kentucky), who passed away on July 10, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid adieu to Elizabeth's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Elizabeth has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her husband Francis G. Filburn (Blackie); her daughter Diane Ormerod (Marvin); and her mother Hildegarde. She is survived by: her children, Denise (Chuck), Jean (Mehrdad), Mark (Linda) and Greg (Christina). She is also survived by ses 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home (3331 Taylorsville Rd, Louisville, KY 40205). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Martha Catholic Church (2825 Klondike Ln, Louisville, KY 40218).
