With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Emmett Jackson Jr. (Louisville, Kentucky), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his wife Myrtle Jean Jackson. He is survived by: his daughter Carla "Red" Sharpe; his granddaughter Alysha; his nephew Russell Jackson Jr. (Russ); his sister-in-law Joyce Jackson; his daughters, Donna Jackson, Cheryl Carpenter and Deborah Lamb; his sibling's children, Terry Johnson and Henri Greenle; his grandchildren, Darryl Boyd (Dollinda), Sophia Johnson, Dakota Martin (Roy), Anton Heath, Deandre Jones and Andrea Heath; and his great grandchildren, Richard Garrison, Huel Watkins, Dwight Dale Watkins and Ramona Holt. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the A. D. Porter and Sons Funeral Home - Downtown (1300 W Chestnut St, Louisville, KY 40203). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 24th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Hildegard House of Louisville, in honor of their gratitude for the impeccable care he received in the last days leading to his transition.
